Dr. George Reyna, M.D.
Dr. George Reyna is a San Antonio native who graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. In 1992, he resumed to practicing ophthalmology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Reyna specializes in Comprehensive Ophthalmology and treats individuals with both common and significant eye disorders. He has been active in ocular research, including the development of new glaucoma drugs, and has written multiple articles for scholarly journals.

Dr. Reyna earned a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a medical degree from the Stanford University School of Medicine in 1988. After earning his M.D., he trained in ophthalmology at the Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He has been recognized as a Best Doctor in San Antonio, Texas Super Docs, and Best Doctors in America.

Dr. Reyna is involved in the community and has been a regular guest on the radio show Ask the Doctor. He has trained across the country, most recently completing a fellowship at the University of Missouri Kansas City/Sabates Eye Centers in Kansas City, Missouri. He earned a BS degree in psychology/chemistry from Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He subsequently attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, where he earned his MD. After that, he completed an internal medicine internship at Nassau University Medical Center on Long Island, NY, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Howard University in Washington, DC.
